Revelation of John 7:9-17

A Great Multitude from Every Nation

9After this I looked, and behold, aa great multitude that no one could number, bfrom every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, cclothed in white robes, with dpalm branches in their hands, 10and crying out with a loud voice, eSalvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and fthe four living creatures, and they gfell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 hsaying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

13Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, iclothed in white robes, and from where have they come?” 14I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of jthe great tribulation. kThey have washed their robes and lmade them white min the blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore they are before the throne of God,
and nserve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne owill shelter them with his presence.
16 pThey shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore;
qthe sun shall not strike them,
nor any scorching heat.
17For the Lamb in the midst of the throne rwill be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of sliving water,
and tGod will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Revelation of John 21:10-26

10And uhe carried me away in the Spirit to va great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11 whaving the glory of God, xits radiance ylike a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12It had a great, high wall, zwith twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed 13on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. 14And the wall of the city had twelve aafoundations, and abon them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15And the one who spoke with me achad a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. 16The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia.
About 1,380 miles; a stadion was about 607 feet or 185 meters
Its length and width and height are equal.
17He also measured its wall, 144 cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
by afhuman measurement, which is also agan angel’s measurement.
18The wall was built of ahjasper, while the city was pure gold, like aiclear glass. 19 ajThe foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. 21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and akthe street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

22And alI saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. 23And the city amhas no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for anthe glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24By its light aowill the nations walk, and the kings of the earth apwill bring their glory into it, 25and aqits gates will never be shut by dayand arthere will be no night there. 26They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations.
